Terms of use
This translation is provided for information only. Only the French version is legally binding.
1. Purpose
These terms of use govern access to and use of the website www.1-signature.fr. They supplement the Terms of Sale, which govern the purchase of stars, and the Privacy Policy.
Accessing the website constitutes acceptance of these terms.
2. A service with no account
1-signature works without creating an account: no username, no password, no personal area.
Your signing journey is linked to your browser by a session cookie, and to your email address, validated by a one-time code. This has two consequences, which are worth knowing before you start:
- a transaction cannot be resumed from another browser or another device until it has reached the signing step;
- there is no history you can consult online. Download links are sent to you by email; this is the only point of reference that survives closing a browser.
The signing link, for its part, is sent by email and remains valid for seven days: you can therefore resume the signing process from another device if needed.
3. What you undertake to do
By using the service, you undertake to:
- upload only a document that you are entitled to sign, and whose content does not infringe the law or the rights of third parties;
- declare your real and accurate identity. You sign for yourself: the service is not designed for signing on behalf of another person, and does not allow it;
- not attempt to access a transaction that is not yours, nor to guess a SignPass code or a transaction reference;
- not hinder the operation of the website, nor test its security without our prior written authorisation.
Code entry attempts are limited and logged. Clearly abusive use may lead to immediate suspension of access.
4. The SignPass is a bearer instrument
Your SignPass code is worth the stars it holds. Anyone who holds it can spend them.
We keep no usable copy of it: it therefore cannot be sent to you again, nor blocked remotely. Keep it as you would keep a voucher of value, and do not share it with anyone — no member of our support team will ever ask you for it.
5. Availability
We endeavour to provide continuous access to the website, without being bound to do so. Access may be suspended for maintenance, updates, or because of a failure on the part of a service provider — in particular the signature provider, the identity providers, or the operators that deliver emails and text messages.
We do not guarantee the delivery of an email or a text message: their delivery depends on third-party operators and on your provider's filters. The one-time codes we issue serve to detect an input error, not to guarantee such delivery.
6. Intellectual property
The website, its structure, its texts, its style sheets and its graphic elements are the property of LPH. Any reproduction or representation, in whole or in part, without prior written authorisation, is prohibited.
You retain all rights to the document you upload. We acquire no rights over it: it is entrusted to us solely for the performance of the service, transmitted to the signature provider, then erased from our systems — the uploaded file as soon as it has been transmitted, the signed files at the end of the period during which they are made available.
7. Third-party links and services
The signing journey continues on the pages of the signature provider and, where applicable, on those of the identity provider you choose. These pages are not ours and are subject to their own terms.
8. Liability
You remain solely responsible for the document you sign, for the accuracy of the identity you declare, and for the legal consequences of your signature.
The limitations of liability set out in article 11 of the Terms of Sale apply to these terms.
9. Changes
We may change these terms at any time. The applicable version is the one published on the website on the day of your access.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. The procedures for complaints, mediation and dispute resolution are set out in article 14 of the Terms of Sale.
